KT TUNSTALL married on Skye yesterday. The 33-year-old singer from St Andrews tied the knot with long-term boyfriend Luke Bullen, 34, in a civil ceremony attended by 150 guests at the Flodigarry Country House Hotel, overlooked by spectacular mountains on the north of the island.
The bride wore a traditional, full-length, white strapless dress with a long veil draped over her hair, while the groom sported a powder-blue evening suit – no top hat or tails. Her four bridesmaids wore green and Tunstall had two flower girls f
or her big day.

A cellist played a solo then a folk song was sung after the vows were taken.

There was an absence of celebrity guests among the friends and family members. They enjoyed a meal of local beef and seafood, and were then entertained by a string quartet in a marquee in the hotel grounds.

Security was low profile, with the singer opting for a handful of kilted guards with walkie talkies, while the media got a long distance but uninterrupted view of the marquee where the marriage took place.

The guests partied for the rest of the day, dancing to live music provided by friends of the couple. A barbecue which Tunstall and Luke are expected to attend is due to take place today outside the nearby Duntulm Castle Hotel.

The couple began planning the ceremony last Christmas after they got engaged in her home town. Luke proposed after turning up at her door unannounced on Christmas Day. They are massive fans of Skye's dramatic scenery and Tunstall's grandmother had links to the Sleat area of the island.

One guest said afterwards: "We had a fabulous time and it was such a magnificent setting. The weather was extremely kind to KT and Luke. It must have been a dream wedding for them. It was for us all."
