Jade Goody discusses her fears following cancer shock

JADE Goody has spoken of her fears for her two children over her cancer.

The reality TV star revealed how she went into the Indian Big Brother house to pay the bills – knowing she could have the disease.

Goody, 27, has told how doctors advised her that getting pregnant again could kill her and urged her to have a hysterectomy.

In an interview conducted before she left for India and was diagnosed with cervical cancer, the single mother said: "I will worry for my beautiful boys if I get unwell. I live for them."

She told Reveal magazine: "I have to keep working to support my family. It's not an option to stop.

"It's always difficult working away from home but I can't wait around for the doctors to find out what's wrong with me. I need to keep working.

"I know it sounds crazy, and a lot of people will criticise me for it, but I have to pay the bills at the end of the day.

"And if I do face cancer, I need to make sure I can support the boys."

She told the magazine: "It's really hard not knowing. I'm trying to block out thinking about it, trying not to get too depressed."

The reality TV star's contracts dried up following the furore over her alleged racism in Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother.

Her perfume, Shh..., was taken off the shelves and publishers decided to drop a paperback edition of her autobiography.

Goody, who is now flying back to the UK for more tests and treatment, was thought to be earning up to £100,000 for her appearance on the Indian show, called Bigg Boss.

The TV star was alone in her Essex home when she passed out two weeks ago after collapsing four times in recent months.

She said: "This time it was awful because when it's happened before, I've been around people. I started getting really bad pain – like contraction pains in your abdomen but also lower down.

"I was sitting on the sofa and got up to do something and I was just bent over in pain. I went up to the bathroom and that's when I saw the bleeding and clotting.

"I tried to get into my bedroom to call the ambulance. There was just blood everywhere and I started to panic about how to open the security gates and let the paramedics in.

"I managed to get down the stairs but I was in so much pain they gave me morphine and air in the ambulance.

"I didn't know, but I'm actually allergic to morphine and it made me have really bad claustrophobia. I couldn't breathe, it felt like I had worms scratching under my skin, my eyes were rolling back.

"At one point I had about 10 doctors around me and all I could see were blurred faces looking down at me.

"It took a whole day for them to get the morphine out of my system and I was on a drip with an oxygen mask.

"I thought, this time I need to know why this keeps happening."

Doctors found abnormal cells in Goody's cervix in a series of smear tests.

Goody said: "I have had two cancer scares before but this time they said 'Jade there is a strong chance'."

The mother of two sons, Bobby, five, and Freddie, three, said she was desperate for a baby girl but doctors told her she should not get pregnant again.

She said: "After I had the miscarriage..., doctors warned me getting pregnant again could be a real health risk for me.

"They have told me twice I should even have a hysterectomy, but I wouldn't let them.

"I've always dreamed of having a little girl one day. It really bothers me to think maybe I won't be able to."

Goody said: "It's hard for the boys. Freddie knew I was in hospital and Bobby knew I was unwell. He's too young to understand but he's quite sensitive and he would have wanted to come in and stay with me."
