DOCTOR Who fans will have a rare chance to hear from the man who brought him back to TV screens at the Edinburgh International Television Festival.
The event is usually only aimed at industry insiders but such is the draw of writer and producer Russell T Davies, organisers have decided to open it up to the general public, it was reported.

Despite the cost of a £500 three-day pass, fans are expected to travel from all over to hear from the writer, who recently stepped down as the show’s executive producer and whose final episode attracted more than ten million viewers.

A spokeswoman for the festival said: “His appearance has generated a considerable amount of interest.

“The festival is not selling tickets to Russell T’s Masterclass. Members of the public can attend, but they would need to buy a pass for the three days.”
