Moves to mark anniversary of Burma revolt

CITY leaders are set to ask officials to look into ways of commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Burma uprising.
City council leader Jenny Dawe has put the motion forward to the authority's policy committee.

The Capital has forged links with campaigners hoping to return democracy to the long-suffering south-east Asian country.

Forthview Primary School in Pilton has established a partnership link with Hleebee school in Mae Sot province in Thailand.
