THE red hackle, the most recognisable symbol of the Black Watch, is set to disappear from the caps of Territorial Army soldiers, it was revealed yesterday.
Instead, it is likely they will wear purple hackles as part of a drive to forge a common identity for Scotland's two TA battalions.
