A SMALL fire in a caravan today triggered a major alert.
The incident took place at Lindsay Place, near Ocean Terminal,
shortly after 3pm yesterday afternoon.

And even though it turned out the fire was a minor one, several fire
engines turned up because so many residents of surrounding properties
had called in. No-one was injured during the fire.

A spokeswoman for Lothian and Borders Fire Service said: "Because of the
location we did receive a number of calls about this, but it wasn't a
major incident."
