AYRSHIRE, Lanark South and Aberdeen & Kincardine had already clinched qualification for the Cities & Counties Championship quarter-finals, but around the country the battle raged in the concluding round robin matches yesterday for the other five places still on offer.
In the north, Buchan took the second spot, while in the south, Dumfriesshire scraped into the quarters.

Midlothian and East Lothian qualified from the east while, in the west, Stirling West completed the draw.
