THE African National Congress, outlawed under the apartheid regime of South African president PW Botha, was one of the first groups to offer condolences on his death last night.
Botha, 90, led South Africa through its worst racial violence. The ANC's move was seen as a symbol of how the new multiracial country is trying to heal past wounds.

If I were one of the ANC executive members I would have stopped them from conveying any condolences to Botha family. If he deserved any pity he should have done likewise to his apartheid system victims. Those ANC members who went there must have had nothing to do for a day.
