Shop hit with alcohol ban
A SHOP has been banned from selling alcohol for a month after being targeted during a crackdown on underage drinking.
The D McCord store in Main Street, Longridge, twice failed under the test purchase scheme run by police, where underage teens were sent to the shop and asked to buy alcohol.
West Lothian Licensing Board recently held a meeting and decided to suspend the alcohol licence for the premises for one month.
A team of specially trained teenagers are to spearhead the new blitz on underage drinking in West Lothian.
