Eight killed in suicide attack

A SUICIDE car bomb targeting a Nato convoy in southern Afghanistan has killed eight civilians and wounded 22 other people, a police chief said today.
Sayed Agha Saqib said no Nato troops were wounded in today's blast in Kandahar city. The wounded include two policemen and seven civilians who are in a serious condition.

Mr Saqib said the bomber detonated the explosives after the Nato convoy passed near him.
