ABERDEEN director of football Willie Miller is hopeful of bringing in three more players after handing new contracts to a trio of Dons players.
Midfielder Stuart Duff signed a two-year deal after joining on a short-term basis from Dundee United in January.

French goalkeeper Bertrand Bossu has also signed after impressing on a trial period, and 17-year-old midfielder Sammy Stewart complet
ed his move from Irish side Glenavon.

Miller is now hopeful of persuading full-back Alan Maybury to sign up after he joined in January from Leicester.

Miller told RedTV: "We know the amount we are going to have in the first-team pool and we are getting pretty close to filling all the slots. We have got three, and we have probably got another two or three we are looking to sign over the summer."

The former Dons skipper and manager admits he cannot compete financially with English clubs when trying to persuade Maybury to extend his stay, but he hopes the prospect of challenging in the top half of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League will help.

"We would be delighted to keep Alan," he said. "I have had long conversations with him. He seems to have enjoyed his time at Aberdeen. He has been playing at a high level, and a high level, financially, that we cannot compete with, but we hope to compete in football terms."

The old firm are not exactly non diddy are they. Just best of a bad bunch that still struggle against the supposed diddy teams when they should be hammering them. Rangers in Europe reminded me of Greece winning the Euro's - ugly, anti-football and nick one on the break. Not exactly world beating stuff; hence, sorry to say that makes you diddies - sorry to break that to you.

Aberdeen on the other hand were the last Scottish team to win anything in Europe. That makes them the last Scottish non diddy team - OK?

At least Aberdeen's fans did not disgrace Scotland this season during their European adventure.

Fortunately, the lack of Scotland flags on show during the riot means we might just have got away with it.

we beat the french champions, the german champions. We also beat up the police, stabbed a Russian and played for penalties since the Panathanaikos game.

Shameful, shameful h*ns.

Yea, we're a wee diddy team. Your a big team trading on sectarianism to get your inbred support through the door and you still couldn't beat us on the final day.

well, a big team in Scotland. Don't think anyone would deny that. You play like awee team though. Scared of any opposition put in front of you.
