THE parents of a 22-year-old woman killed in a crash on an Aberdeenshire road yesterday paid tribute to their daughter.
Dana-Leigh Trigger, a dental nurse from Glassel, Banchory, was killed on Wednesday evening after her silver Ford Fiesta careered off the road, crashing into trees, before flipping on to its roof.

The stretch of road she lost control on had rec
ently been resurfaced and was covered in loose chippings. It had a 20mph limit. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement yesterday her parents said it would take a long time to get over their loss.

They said: "Our family are totally devastated by the death our loving daughter.

"Brought up in the Banchory area, Dana-Leigh was a well-known and popular figure. Dana-Leigh's family and many friends are finding it extremely hard to come to terms with the fact she has so tragically and unexpectedly been taken from us and it will take a very long time to get over our loss."

Family and friends yesterday visited the scene of the crash to pay their respects.

Messages left in the flowers next to the scene on the unclassified Banchory to Campfield road described her as "an angel".

One card read: "Words can't say how much I'll miss you, without you I'm incomplete. You're my soul mate. The most loyal, honest, loving and fun person.

"You're in heaven now, a true angel. My best friend and sister."

Police said they were keen to speak to anyone with any information regarding the collision and in particular would like to speak to two young men who were at the scene in a silver car, possibly a Honda Civic.
