Well it says don't eat bacon in the paper and on the telly or you'll get cancer. Clearly, bacon needs to be banned. It's the only way. Until they invent healthy bacon.

So the World Cancer Research Fund think we're all going to die from cancer. Mebbe we should put lots of public money into researching cancer. Can you think of any world fund that might be up to the job?

What this is all about is putting the responsibility of disease on to the diseased. If you have a penal cancer and not circumcised, then you receive no health care. If you are an FB then you get a free kick up the butt. If you get MRSA you should have no health care for being so stupid in going to a hospital.

Well done professor! At last someone in the scientific community is speaking out against these health-freak morons.

The morons ought to take note of this fact---they have decried nearly every single type of food and drink in their rediculous "study". Well, here's a thing... Starvation, malnutrition and dehydration will kill you in a slow, painful and unpleasant way. Ask some of the victims of famine from some parts of Africa if you don't believe me.

My advice is to ignore the lot of them... and so should the media. Once the dust settles on this affair, those responsible should be brought to account and preferably sacked (and loose their pensions).

Lets face it folks - just being alive increases our risk of contracting cancer. Maybe we should all be euthanased - it would seem a better option than having to give up eating a varied diet, drinking the odd glass of alcohol and, yes, being a bit over weight.

This health craze has got out of hand.

To all those slagging off this report

Fine! Pretend that eating high fat, processed rubbish with high salt or cooking-activated carcinogens won't affect your risk of cancer.....
It is up to you - your diet - your risk.....

From the sublime to the rediculous in one fell swoop. Well done G! You never let us down do you?

"Curries were not mentioned but they can’t be good for you, just look at what they do to one’s bowls."

You must make some pretty strong curry if it burns the bowls!

Have you ever tried "turkey bacon" ?- it is vile and not worthy of eating by discriminating palates

Dr Cynthia McVey

You could not say "no" as it would be against the interests of those offering funding to your 'university'.

Should you not have declined from commenting, given you were not in a position of disinterest?

You are a psychologist (and arguably an attention seeker), what has that to do with nutrition?

If you are wondering how I am aware of the details, my partner works with you - and here's how you address your emails to her 'Cyn'...

Boy it's like saying do not wear a seatbelt because it can't lessen the chances of serious injury in a car crash . Any body watched "you are what you eat" lately. Bad Habits are real killers and dietary ignorance is like the guy who smokes gets a bypass and goes home and continues to smoke and hopes the the outcome will be different next time .

In the 50's I worked on a farm with mainly WW1 war veterans and a very strong and healthy lot they were.
In WW1 the meat ration was 1lb a day for soldiers, so the worst death cause was a bullet.
Now it is getting stabbed by someone who I shall not mention

And one could not get at all fat on wartime diet in WW2.

Now the elderly are a waste of resources and are expected to do the decent thing and die ASAP
