(Need to change name to: Now an Animal Doc :) :) )

OK, so these fast food joints have a lot of salt in their food....Does anyone expect most of the food in the restaurants mentioned to be healthy?

If you don't eat at fast food joints on a regular basis, I don't see the problem.

~3. Animal Doc to Be,
'WELL-DONE', you have not been on here for some time, but I remember! its the 'folic acid' you see!

#3 Animal Doc to Be
I agree with you, as I only go to these fast food places once every 2 or three months. KFC has not been on my list for over 6 months - too salty!!!
And a big CONGRATULATIONS!!! Now you will be just: "Animal Doc" in the future. Another 'James Harriot' on our hands. Good luck!

Try to eat locally at mom and pop joints when not at home.

They need the salt to give their garbage some semblance of taste.

Well done Animal Doc.
And agreed. I meet up with friends I see only a couple of times a year. We usually meet in Pizza Slut as 2 of the 4 like the salad bar to start, 3 outt4 like the ice cream factory to finish and the wife gets these vouchers that we can use at Pizza Slut so it's free too. So that 2, max 3, times a year. Nay bother.

It's not just salt in food. have you seen how many people are "Áuto-condemators" and start spromkling salt on the food without even trying it first?
Still, I am sure all this nasty unhealthy food will soon attract a Fat Tax or Salt Tax or whatever.
best slam a few down quick then eh;-)?

I try and cook and eat fresh made meals. A Pizza from a fast food outlet now and again will do no harm. problem is, many know only this way of eating. That is what causes the harm.

My kids do not like chips and think burgers from these places taste like cardboard.

Even with home made fare, I have watched people from all ages immediately add salt without tasting the food.

Congratulations Animal Doc. If you get a free minute could you have a rummage through Charles' litter tray and give us your thoughts on the possible cause of his odd behaviour. :o)

It seems that this "CASH" organisation is at about the same level as "ASH". In other words they are determined to interfere in people's lives by spreading meaningless propaganda based upon flawed scientific "evidence". Ignore them.

However, Both McDonalds and Kentucky Fried Chicken could benefit from some proper constructive critisism:-

McDonalds: Start making proper burgers with cheese, onions and mushrooms rather than stuffing them full of salad crap.

Kentucky Fried Chicken: Start providing proper plates and cutlery in your restaurants. How the hell are you supposed to eat chicken, chips and baked beans with one of those stupid plastic "sporks"? And what are you supposed to eat it off? The tray? Get some proper plates (even if they are paper) and proper steel cutlery.

Agree with ALL the postings.

KFC is an abomination to the palate and Pizza Hut is a fraud because their "pizzas" resemble nothing like the pizzas (marherita) I have eaten in Venice and Florence.

NOW those are REAL pizzas and simple and delicious. When they added the fresh basil to the pizza I was in pizza heaven.

BUt don't expect to get such at Pizza Hut. All you will get is heavy crust, too much cheese(s), too much meat and other add-ons, and too much fat and salt. They aare a very pale imitation of "real pizza".

For your own health and that of your children avoid Pizza Hut and KFC like the plague. Those joints will kill you!

It's called "natural selection". If they want to eat themselves fat, tuck in. But they should be responsible for the choice, AND for the consequences.
