In this country he would simply have been resisting arrest and reasonable force was used??The very deep wound to his head would have been caused by him banging his head when he fell down the stairs which nobody would have seen.

Inflation at over 1600% and the life expectancy of the average Zimbabwean is 35. And no other country cares, least of all the South African Government.
I wish Mugabe would strike oil. Then maybe the US or God forbid the UN might do something about this shameful regime. When Koffi Annan described his shame at the UN doing absolutely nothing to assist in humanitarian calamities such as Kosovo and Darfur, he earnestly said that he hoped that it would never happen again. Well, you may have retired Koffi, but I don't forget your crocodile tears because it is happening again, is happening daily, and millions are dead because the UN is unable to take a decision based on the morality of a situation. Vested interest creeps in to every vote, and whether or not a man is a genocidal maniac seems to matter not a jot when it comes to taking a vote. consideration one appears to be "how might this affect OUR national interests".Mugabe, and his ilk, should have no place to hide. He is a killer and a meglomaniac. If the UN can't do anything about such people, I think its time for them to step aside.
Where is Bush?Where is America? The message to Bush is:Please leave Iraq, go to Zimbabwe and free the peolpe there.People in Zim are starving, dying at the hands of the corrupt gvnt. They are belly full everyday and the poor are hungry. How does one shoot a defenceless person? What happened to Charles Taylor should also happen to Zim.America Oh America, Rescue Zimbabwe.
Whats going on in Zimbabwe now is the direct result of of blinkered European and American know it alls.
When Ian Smiths apartheid government was in control in Rhodesia, almost the entire nation was fed, clothed and housed. They had work and more dignity than Mugabe has ever offered them.
But as usual, the international community looked on and condemned the apartheid without stopping to think of the alternatives.
South Africa is the next Zimbabwe, it will just take slightly longer....Thats Africa!
yeah media 1...lets return to slavery..
Not very efficient are they?
#7 Bill Alba: I cannot support your views on a return to slavery, although it is true that powerful Africans used to sell their own people to wite buyers and although many African states still practice salvery, it is not someting I am comfortable with..No, in my view all that Zim requires is a bullet in Mugabes head, thereafter they can attempt to rebuild their country to the bread basket that it was during the apartheid era.
Zimbabwe, now wasn't that once called something like Rhodesia and run by people of non-African origin? I seem to remember that it once supplied enough food to adequately feed its population and export a good surplus to maintain a healthy balance of trade. Can anybody say what happened? It's a great puzzle to me.
#10 culandun: 52 countries, 46 total failures, 3 almost total failures, 1 on the mend, 1 doing ok due its previous non-african rule and border post with SA and then off-course SA itself..A soon to be Zimbabwe in 20 to 25 years!
You work it out!
