There is nothing wrong with women having a drink!
What a lot of killjoys there are out there.
Here's to the lassies !
Cheers!

This is a disgrace - people should have the right to go out and enjoy themselves without the fear of being attached.

If we put this mentality elsewhere it would suggest that muggings are the fault of people carrying wallets and phones and car crime is the fault of people owning cars.

I know this is a very difficult offence to prove (it's one persons word against the other in most cases) but harsher punishment for those convicted might be a better deterrent (I would also suggest cutting their bits off!)

Yet again another story about how women are the problem and not the men who commit the crime of rape.

I agree that women have to protect themselves, drinking less will no doubt help the conviction rate for rape as more people were remember what has happened, but just because a woman is drunk does not mean that she is a tart, does not mean that she is asking to be raped and it certainly doesn't mean that they should be dismissed out of hand.

Guys ...... when a woman says NO she means NO! And you think NO means YES .... you're not a man! And if you take advantage of a woman when she's pi**ed .... you're even lower than that!!! You're a beast and need to be put down!

Funny ...... 3 weeks ago the polis said that a threefold increase in crime in the Meadows was "not significant". Now it is. Well, Chief Constable, it's dangerous to quote stats without a deeper analysis, eh?

I beg your pardon ....."proportionately quite small"

@ no. 9, you meant 'don't rape', right?

sick and tired of it ,,rape that is...

i have had to live with it,read about it,,,i will tell you what is wrong...dont make the victim go to court to have all and sundry hanging out to dry,,prosecute the case in hand ,,kids dont have to give face to face evidence so why do rape victims.

my wife was raped more than 15 years ago and she told me at the time ,it was more frightning giving evidence than it was the actual rape,i think she was just being brave,,no c,mon time to get all rapists against a wall and yes i would pull the trigger.........

john rooney, 1969 , In the Sunshine get a grip. yet again the comments on this issue are twisted by idiots. Its a serious matter. Dickhead rapist men think that they have the right to do what ever they bloody well want to. Speaks from experience. I managed to get over it. My partner cant. The scum that did it got a wee slap on the wrist. i do not drink and i was a target. THINK

This isnt about rape especially , this is a about drinking and rape, message being dont overdo it.

Sorry Cally to hear your tale, but read the story.

no.16 cally,,so so sorry to hear about your ordeal,im also sorry that your partner cant get over it i know exactualy how he feels it took me a very long time to get to grips with it.

but as you said you were a victim, same as my wife,,but when i gave it a lot of thought i could not let my wife just get on with it on her own,,people think that it is just the victim of rape that suffers,,wrong,,it affects all the immediate family from husband to children,im not saying its easy by all means for the victim,,but the sooner people realize that theese scum, rapists,,should be permanatley removed from society, and believe me if it was for me to remove them with a point 22 ,sorry to say this but yes i could do it very easily without remorse....so cally believe me sweetheart you are not alone...take care...

18

cally,

kind words casper. Thankyou. I did read the story 1969 , In the Sunshine. And yes it was the knee jerk reaction. All i was trying to point out was that woman get raped regardless of what state they are in, Sober or drunk. I was sober.
I see these young girls out on a night and yes it scares me to see how they act.
