Moving the ferry terminal 8 miles away to Cairnryan is not only anti-green (the rail station is on the present pier) but puts paid to the "day trip from Belfast" brigade if they have to be bussed or hitch-hike to the Casino.

The BBC's 6 o'clock news managed to put the casino in Dumfries, on the map. Still, about par for the course...

It's a terrible call in an area that needs jobs but doesn't have much to fail back on.

I am fed up of people saying that having a casino will increase the numbers of people with gambling problems.
Gambling is available seven days a week from bookies, 11-11 in pubs and clubs and 24hrs round on the web - opening another casino is a drop in the ocean
All that the Stranraer casino and the super-casino will do is to divert gambling form different areas...
