This just goes to show that education and encouragement are the best weapon in the fight to reduce smoking levels.
Bans are the weapon of the inept bully.

#1 Couldn't agree more Kris. This is why Labour will lose the Scottish election this year - bullying!

Kris, #1, an alternative possibility is that Italians just ignore whatever law they don't like

The same thing happened in Ireland following their smoking ban.

The surest way to get someone to do something is to tell them they can't.

Italians are by nature hot-headed and bloody minded. Tell them not to do something without giving a valid reason (there isn't a valid reason for a smoking ban) and they will do it all the more just to stick two fingers up at you.

It's a pity that the British don't follow their example regarding the smoking ban.

Suggested headline rewrite: 'Because of ban on smoking, more Italians are lighting up'. This is a common result of bans.

Yes, it should have been fairly obvious if you've had children, bans to kids are appealling.
Seems like the Antis have done more to promote smoking rather than reduce it. Given the obscene amount of money they have used to achieve, hatred, segregation, intolerance and an increase in smoking.
The USA are finally fighting back now they have started on their homes and cars.
This is where this is going.
This is nothing short of a vendetta against smokers, it is not to do with health anymore.

A blanket ban was NOT wanted by the majority
If you think this ban is wrong and you would like a voice,

Towards a judicial review that would be most welcome too

12. Eddie D. Vote SNP? The SNP supports a total smoking ban. Show me evidence to the contrary and I may consider voting SNP.
