Pity our own 'film industry' in Scotland couldn't have produced this film.

Then again - there would definitely be no money available for crew!

The movie industry will only flourish when the cycle of sequel-obsessed motion pictures comes to an end. New ideas, orginal screenplays ; the popcorn public is crying out for them. From the land of John Grierson , I believe an independent Scotland will serve up the goods....and will have them standing eagerly in cinema queues on wet Saturday nights - all the way from Badenoch to Berwickshire.

This production is real, and the schedule is real. I've been waiting to work on this project for some time, but I have no delusions about how difficult it can be to finalize investment and to satisfy a completion bond, on a modest budget independent production. With the greatest respect to the friends of 'ecstasywonthappen', everyone working freelance in this business has to make the same choices about projected production dates. No-one has lied to me or asked me to hold for work without a contract - I very much want to work on this film, and if the dates do move I will not be upset, and I hope to remain available. I certainly won't blame the producers, who have my absolute respect for their enthusiasm and persistence in raising the finance and pulling all the pieces together. EVERYONE in the local (Glasgow) film community should want to see this production go ahead, and should stand behind it. Trying to shoot it down before it gets off the ground is unwarranted pessimism.
