Who would wear a diamond the size of a coconut?

2

Conan,

Here 29/08/2007 01:08:37

When I was in SA back in the 80s I lost a stone just like that. I'm so happy they have found it for me. Perhaps they'll mail it back to me?

"Who would wear a diamond the size of a coconut?"

Unladen African swallows?

Such a pity the empire has disappeared chaps otherwise no doubt this little trinket would have ended up in the English crown.

#4 Then they would end up with their German monarch looking like a clown in a crown, with a coconut on their bonce.

It is only possible to tell exactly what the stone is by testing it But it looks allot like a Fluorite Crystal

The ANC are already re-writing the constitution in order to seize control of the stone. Then they can sell it and share the profits among themselves!

Watch this space, the ANC will become involved in a negative way...This is Africa after all

Come, come Conan. How you amuse us.

I thing The Prince of Wales should buy it for The Duchess of Cornwall - you know, keep it in the family and complete the set.

The smaller diamonds resulting from the cutting of the Cullinans are known as "Granny's chips", granny being Queen Mary, consort of George V.

BOY WONDER

If you go to The Scotsman for Monday 27 August 2007 in Science and Technology and the newsitem on "Viagra Boosts Cuddle Chemical" @ 19 posting by profuse apology for my mistake is there.

I prostrate myself before you in humiliation and regret for my appalling gaffe.

The North West Transvaal has produced some interesting diamonds in the past. This could be the big one, but hard to tell from such a poor image and no detail. The diamond must soon be presented to the diamond board for inspection so I believe we will all know in a day or so

Hello,

My company is also based in Johannesburg and we are very excited about the news. The diamond look real and it will be interesting to see the price on this stone once it has been approved by the diamond board..

3 I believe that an African swallow could carry it. The real question is, "What would its air speed velocity be?"

How about two European swallows, perhaps with the aid of a string, carrying the same diamond?

As a freelance scientist I would just add that the drag coefficient of a diamond this size would undoubtedly negate the thrust to weight ratio of a swallow, african or european.

Whilst you might be in favour of an independant scotland, the fact remains that at present ER II not just queen of england, - the scottish monarchy saw to that when James VI ascended to the throne of england after the death of Elisabeth I and UNITED the KINGDOMS...
