I'm happy to see that it works. It sure beats the "Hillbilly" armor that our guys were throwing together. Anything to keep the guys safe.

It's not before time that they gave the troops something half decent to drive around in. They need a lot more of them to replace the Land Rovers with their fibre-glass armour that they have in Iraq.

Then again, it would be much better to get all of our troops out of both Iraq and Afghanistan.

spot on! the very first type of veichle with v shape underside was used by the farmers in Rhodesia in Mugabe terrorist war on the them. and South Africa went on to make a whole range of these veichles.

Why not just be grateful that the troops now have a vehicle that lets them engage the enemy without having to worry about IEDs and RPGs.
Every soldiers life saved by these superior vehicles is a pound WELL SPENT.

Whether these vehicles can withstand the shaped charges that the Iranians have been teaching teh insurgents to make is another matter.

I wonder whether you could fit some kit on the vehicles that is like the RN's MAD (Magnetic Anomaly Detection) equipment.

This would probably slow everything down too much though.

All the same anything that boosts morale and gets more soldiers back safely is great.
