I wonder how you get approval from the Chinese government to be a "living Buddha"?
Not much chance of being serene or being a laughing Buddha with the very real possibility of 200 grains in the back of your head for any trivial offence.

Dragonhead will be telling us next that this is the Chinese government acting in its usual benign way, and allowing freedom of religion.

Then again, maybe their benign rule doesn't apply in occupied territories, and doesn't include genocide.

You make no mention of the Chinese occupying Tibet and enforcing their ways in the country, Dragonhead. Stick to the subject matter.

Aahh, Dragonhead, you always omit from your scribes, the fact (not drivel) that the Chinese have no say in what their CCP Government does . Why because they are not allowed to vote in CHINA.

China after 50 years of applied genocide against the people of Tibet have failed in their btural quest.

You can squawk and call GC all the names you want Dragonhead .
But in your communist country CHINA ,its 1.3 billion citizens cannot vote, the CCP prohibits it.

Happy CCP Day dude

My understanding of the issue is that there has been a bit of a glut of Living Buddas. Apparently it makes for a rather nice lifestyle for the family. It needs to be regulated or there will be just too many. I think we're looking at thousands and thousands of families claiming their little boy is a reincarnated senior religous figure. They can't all be right.

By the way did you guys know that Britain invaded Tibet in 1904?

7

Guga II,

Rockall 04/08/2007 08:44:05

#7 The YU K may have invaded Tibet, but it didn't try to prohibit or control their religion, nor did it move in thousands upon thousands of Han Chinese to overwhelm the Tibetan people. Nor did they indulge in genocide of the people.

Why don't the Chinese get out of Tibet instead of acting like colonial imperialists?

Guga II,

#3 Dragonhead. I notice that you avoid any of your usual propaganda about freedom of religion under the benevolent Chinese government.

Hey Dude why do you always name call in your posts.?

Religious freedom in China does not exist , its window dressing only.

Explain the crushing of the religion in Tibet and the persecution of the Falun Gong

Here is a fact dude not drivel as you always call it.

On July 22, 1999, the People's Republic of China issued a statement banning Falun Gong in mainland China, fearing "a serious ideological and political struggle that would have a bearing on the future of the Communist Party and the State".

Persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Communist Party of China. continues to this day into 2007.

For someone who talks about freedom, how can you live in your country CHINA, where people are not allowed to vote and women are forced into abortions ?

I visited a Tibetan area last year. Freedom of religious expression didn't seem to be a problem. I recall one custom that required us to drive round a major (but thankfully reasonably quiet) roundabout, the wrong way three times. This was because there was something of religious significance in the middle of the roundabout. No one seemed to mind.

I can't vote in China because I'm a UK citizen. It's only Chinese people that vote in China (oh yes they do). Doh.

Hey dude so according to you the Chinese people vote in China ..

That's NEWS the rest of the world is not aware of.

So what went down in 1989, when 000's of Chinese students wanted their freedom to vote , The CCP /PRC massacred them in Tiananmen Sq.

Has anything changed since . ON my trips through China I never once saw a polling station where Chinese citizens could vote.

As Bart Simpson says DOOOOHHHHHH!!

Happy Voting day Chinese style

Voting is allowed in China. Whether its a fair electoral system is a debatable matter but yes, people can vote in China. Do a google search and you'll see this, and the problems with it.

Neither the CCP or any part of the the Chinese Comminist Government were elected by a free and open voter decision.

That is a FACT.....
