Glad I'm not famous. I would hate for people to go to some of the places I spent my formative years.
#1. Ditto!!! :O
"James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser"
Who?
The ladies in question will know just who this (fictional) character is, I'm sure!
I have woke up with some tarts in my life, but never kept in touch with any of them.
#7 ?
#7. And why not? They ran out of virgins a while ago!
And now I feel far better educated by this exceptional bit of journalistic insight. Thank you Scotsman for enlightening us all to these important events.
Maurice 10 - Spot on!
This mindless pursuit of a NON-CELEBRITY only shows that these "Tarts" have too much time and money on their hands, and too little hay stuffed between their ears!
#10 & #11 Do I detect just a teeny touch of the green-eyed monster here? I haven't a clue who this chap is, never heard of him prior to reading this article, but obviously he has something to set these ladies' hearts a-flutter!
When was the last time either of you two had ANY lady, far less hundreds of them, swooning over you?
Just saw Gerry Butler on the telly in Phantom...was intrigued and found many of his films on DVD..and saw a Very good actor. He seems to take on any character and really has lots of sex appeal...He isn't as well known as Sir Sean...but...somewhere in time will have even a bigger fan base than he has now...Ladies...remember the "yellow towel" in "Shooters"? For "older ladies" like me,a great scene....and "Dear Frankie" a lovely film...
Not bad, not bad at all!! ;)
Agree with Maurice and Homo Sapiens!Pathetic commentary how the DEIFYING of celebrities, or in this case, a non-celebrity has absolutely RUN AMOK!
How about pilgrimages, conventions, etc… for those who choose jobs like FIREFIGHTERS and COPS-After all, they're only RISKING THEIR LIVES!How about getting an autograph from a paramedic?Or an 8x10 signed photo from one of our soldiers in Iraq? katetheshrew.com
#15 Calm down dear, this is all just a bit of harmless fun!
They're hardly "deifying" the chap, they just fancy him rather; hardly a crime I'd have thought?
In Dublin they had Molly Malone-The tart with the cart. In Weegie wonderland we have Hairy Mary-the tart with the heart.

This guy looks good to most women and possibly some men. Its all about sex appeal and breaking away from the drudgery of domestic bliss. Good luck to these tarts, what ever tart means
As for the cops and fire fighters . No one force them to do those jobs . They are very well paid and their families are taken care for life should they get killed.
The most dangerous job in any country with a coast line, is fishing in the oceans. I never here people lamenting the deaths of hundreds of fishermen killed at sea. And their families get sod all.
But in our country the US, for every cop killed on duty . The cops kill 28 regular citizen Joe's.
As for the fire fighters . They spend 70% of their time playing cards, and polishing their fire engines.. When they could be outside cutting brush and creating fire breaks . Not wait till the fire is raging.
So take her easy Kate

"On their trip to Scotland they will visit places where the actor spend his formative years," You know, you've really got to do more than just run spell-check. You've got to actually look at what is on the printed page! Aren't there ANY competent editors there?
This Scottish actor is no diety - trust me, and he would be the first to remind the public of that.He is an extremely talented, generous and all round regular kind of fellow. That a charitably minded group of women take a fancy to him and want to support him and his career, should not cause conern among his countrymen. When Gerard speak of his country, he does so with such longing affection and I think that is part of the reason these admirers come to visit form so far away. I know that his fans will represent themselves in the best possible manner, always keeping in mind that they are in the country of their friend Gerard Butler.Suzanne
I wish I were coming with them as some of my Australian Tart friends will be there. Gerry is the nicest guy and being a fan of his is an honour. Anyway, Scotland is such a beautiful country that to see is it very worthwhile, regardless of why people come.
#3, Carol S, a new Tart, why the comment James Alexander Malcom MacKenzie Fraser????? Bela Isa on gb.net. Why did you select that as your comment? Geet is our Jamie, we kinda decided that last year on our trek to the first convention. Good spirit, good soul, our Geet. 'Tis about time US film has recognized his talent on screen. Told his mum so when I met her, she has raised a good, caring human being. Gerard has devoted his life to his craft, and it is time that he's recognized for it.

Carol S- Wow thanks for the link. Those are some of the most beautiful men on the planet - must be something in the water in Scotland. But get Depp out of there.... sorry LOL The landscapes look almost sacred to me.
If you could bottle and drink in all the qualities and vunerabilities of this Scot, you would understand what a humble and yet heroic spirit Gerard Butler represents. He embodies a goodness and encouragement in leadership, yet human and naughty reverence of real people. It is the authentic connections he brings to ancestry, the humor of Robert Burns, the commitment to whatever he does, and the geniune caring of all mankind that attracts his fans. Friendships are made around the world and worthy causes supported, and hopefully we all learn a bit more about each other. He is the first to tell you that he is not above anyone. That is more powerful than sex appeal. That is why we visit, we support, and we care. He cares about each of us. Put some fun in your life! Enjoy a Gerard Butler movie with us.
