Oh, is that how you play checkers? What kind of readers do these people think they have? Ok, I'm a bad example.
#1 Scullion. they are so used to spouting propaganda for the New labour numpties, that they think their readers are numpties too.
I wonder if it is significant that:1. This computer programme was developed in Canada.2. The only other interesting story today is about cannabis use.3. Canada now seems close to replacing the maple leaf with the cannabis leaf on her flag, and,4. The first comment comes from someone in Canada.
Oh yes, and there is a move afoot to change her name to Cannaba!
I've been trying to learn how to win consistently at "Checkers" since my older brothers taught me to play the game when I was six. Now I understand why I haven't. The writer told us the solution took 50 computers running together "many years." I wish the writer would have told us how much computing power it now takes to play a game against a human.
Clever folks those Canadians now don't you think?
Although amusing, it seems to be such an egrigious waste of valuable resources to have solved this checker quandry. With the myriad of serious issues facing the planet one would have hoped that this invaluable computer time could have been better spent!
