Why not transfer the tridents to a sea base closest to the Atomic Weapons Establishment That way with reduced distances these " trivial " problems would decline.

It would be very surprising if there hadn't been any incidents! From the report the MOD seem to be doing a good job. The incidents highlighted are all rather trivial.

It's only a couple of hours along easy roads from AWRE Berkshire to Portsmouth, which presumably would welcome the extra employment from hosting the submarine fleet. Transfer of the depot from Coulport/Faslane would apparently make every last Scot deliriously happy, so it would be a win/win situation.

Trucks carrying hazardous cargoes break down near us all from time to time.

The above report doesn't suggest any incidents relating to the cargoes themselves.
