God help us - especially any over-60s who aren't fit for the olympics!

A very poor choice of Convener of the sole Justice Committee.

Bill Aitken in the last parliament tried to hack down the pro consumer reforms of the [now passed] Legal Profession & Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 2007 - by introducing Law Society sponsored amendments to kill off rises in compensation payouts to victims of crooked lawyers ..

Having just one Justice Committee with the problems the Scottish Judicial system has isn't such a good idea - the last two Justice Committees did quite a bit of work.

Patrick Harvie on climate change and Frank MacAveety on petitions are excellent choices. I hope Rob Gibson gets the environment one: we'll see.

Clever choice of convenor. His personal views will be stifled by the impartiality of the convenors role...smart thinking by someone.

howyoudoingboy,

hereeeeeeeeeeeee 07/06/2007 19:47:06

tactics the snps will say it,s down to the greens when they cannot deliver their policy's.

Alec salmond shout tall walk small

"This means that no party will have an overall majority, making it more difficult for the SNP to push through its legislative programme and giving more power to the committee conveners."

What fools the SNP are to have done this. They might has well have handed control of the Church of Scotland to the Taliban. This decision must be reversed if Scotland's transport infrastructure is not to be crippled.
