Spokesperson: "Tesco... trusted company...". Yeah, right!!! Trustred to rip off local communities at every turn, use their brute power to intimidate local councils into ignoring local people's wishes by threat of court action that councils can't afford to defend, so they can simply ignore planning regulations and drive local competition to the wall. Trusted? About as much as I trust George W. Bush to strive for world peace and justice.

they sacrificed their honeymoon because of tesco a bit late for that with 2 kids, and one aged 12,does someone get paid for reporting this story stretch the truth any further and it will break, tesco have publicly stated from the start that they were willing to get round the table and talk, was it not the union who called the strike and refused to talk in the first place

I think we are supposed to feel sorry for them and hate Tesco.

I don't , I think it's funny.

Now if the man hadve got a better job and saved some money instead of doubtlessly spending all his money on fags and beer then I might feel sorry for him.

Nobody says he HAS to work for Tesco.

I read this story and my heart is breaking - I know how they feel. Not knowing that there was a possibility that the strike would fall apart out of sheer apathy despite the union's bullying, I got a divorce, killed all of my children and then cancelled my own birth. Everything is Tesco's fault. Everything. From the Spanish inquisition to Scotland's failure to qualify for Euro 2008. God told me. Oh and Sally Fairweather.

If he still has a job...

Most companies consider talking to the press to be gross misconduct. All very well for Mrs W to rant off, but not such a good idea for him.

Tesco may want to curb overtime hours but every company, I have worked for or know of, feels the same. Overtime is not a right and should not be relied on, a familly has to budget around real wages not possible overtime. Not making it on honeymoon right at this time pales in comparison to many real heartbraking events happening in todays world.
