What new broom is this then?Brown is one of the three architects of New Labour.Brown has involved himself backstage in every decision, in every policy of importance that New Labour has involved its-self in.

The arrogance of the man to even presume that he is a new broom is astounding. Sweeping the corrupt detritus of past New Labour's "achievements" under the carpet of the cabinet room and putting out of sight what he,Brown collaborated in with an air of innocence adds insult to injury and is an affront to our intelligence.

even though i have lived and worked abroad most of my life.i have always been proudly pro-labour. just like my parents. now i feel a sense of, loss and disgust at what this bumbling fool blair has done to "us" i worked 25 years in the u.s. and fought against "the village idiot, bush" and his cohorts. to be forced to watch for 8 years as blair got on his knees to kiss the idiots ass. has been sickening. i hope brown can at least restore some purpose and pride to the "real" labour party.

The man's mad, stark raving mad.

Even with exposions going on around him in the most fortified area in Iraq, he goes on about things getting better.

Mad, I tell you, mad.

#4 Bill But things are getting better in Iraq... It is just that bombs and blasts make more exciting headlines than methodical progress. For example:-

Did you know there are more than 1100 building projects going on in Iraq? They include 364 schools, 67 public clinics, 15 hospitals, 83 railroad stations, 22 oil facilities, 93 water facilities and 69 electrical facilities.

Did you know that 96% of Iraqi children under the age of 5, have received the first 2 series of polio vaccinations?

Did you know that 4.3 million Iraqi children were enrolled in primary school by mid October, last?

Did you know that there are 1,192,000 cell phone subscribers in Iraq and phone use has gone up 158%?

Did you know that Iraq has an independent media that consists of 75 radio stations, 180 newspapers and 10 television stations?

Did you know that 47 countries have re-established their embassies in Iraq?

Did you know that the Iraqi government currently employs 1.2 million Iraqi people?

Did you know that the Iraqi Police Service has over 55,000 fully trained and equipped police officers?

Did you know that there are 5 Police Academies in Iraq that produce over 3500 new officers each 8 weeks?

Did you know that 3100 schools have been renovated, 364 schools are under rehabilitation, 263 schools are now under construction and 38 new schools have been built in Iraq?

Did you know that Iraq's higher educational structure consists of 20 Universities, 46 Institutes or colleges and 4 research centres, all currently operating?

Did you know that the Baghdad Stock Exchange opened in June of 2004?

Our troops are there helping the Iraqi people and trying to protect them from some really nasty (mostly foreign) criminals!!!

That straight from the pentagon?

We all know who the 'Foreign' criminals in Iraq are - many work by proxy for Halliburton.

It is too late! Brown can do what he likes, but everybody is scunnered sick of the lies and spin and cronyism and sheer corruption of the Labour Government. Fiddle away Brown as much as you like, but you are the walking dead. And Brown was at the centre of it all, knowing all, supporting all, and even instigating much of it. Too late, Gordon. you are a guilty man, and your New Labour Creation is heading for the cliff edge.

..... Blair will leave Brown to pick up the pieces in broken Iraq ....

Like we didn't see THAT coming. Gordon will bring the troops home (eventually) .... but that won't save his New Labour bacon!!!

Did you know that oil production in Iraq is lower now than it was under Saddam...

Did you know that hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have been killed by religious and political fanatics over which the coalition has absolutely no influence or control.

I do know that the coalition troops are doing their best to combat these fanatics - something that no-one will be able to do if we bring all the coalition troops out of Iraq.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah...you really know a lot don't you!!!!
Did you know that apologists for Bush and BLIAR have been spouting this drivel on an ever decreasing basis since it was announced "Mission Accomplished" four years ago??
Did you know about the 650,000 dead?
Did you know about the Halliburton gravy train?
Did you know that after four years, "coalition leaders have to "sneak in" to Iraq for a day's visit unannounced and heavily protected
Did you know that this is because huge swathes of the Iraqi people see "us" as the problem, not the solution?
Did you know that the British sent their young men out there, in an illegal war, and without even the proper equipment?
Did you know that BLIAR, Rumsfeld, and the UN chiefs have all come under attack IN THE (safest place in Iraq) GREEN ZONE?
Did you know that it hasn't been safe for troops to travel around even in tanks, because of public resistance?
Did you know that there are now lots of analysts who seriously question whether or not most of the "insurgents"/freedom fighters are in fact foreigners to Iraq?
Did you know that some US generals have already disowned the war as unsustainable?
Did you know that nobody likes a smart a*** with a totally blinkered view of what is a major tragedy unfolding daily before our eyes in Iraq?
Why don't you p***off and learn something that didn't come off a Pentagon website........In the Name Of God...THINK FOR YOURSELF !!!

15

tasty,

British troops currently serving in Eye-rack should be pulled out and replaced with a truly NewLabour contingent. As the band of the Gay Gordons plays selections from Abba and Shirley Bassey the first battallion the Queens' Own Scots Rocking Horse Cavalry (motto: traditional vah-lues in a modern nappy ) should mince its way into Baghdad, watch those terrorists run.

The campaign starts here; Tony Blair for Pope!

#15 Rab McLiar..... Now where did you get the number of 650,000 dead? Are you thinking of the 1 million dead under Saddam?Or are you blindly spouting the nonsense of the spurious statistic of "avoidable deaths" (i.e. deaths that would not have occurred if things had been "nicer") as per the Lancet.
http://mwcnews.net/content/view/10149/42/

Read that article and understand that even THEY top the number of violent deaths at 49,000 in post invasion Iraq.

Now, while any death is regrettable, I think a little research will show that 49,000 dead is 'small potatoes' compared to some of the other tragedies that are going on around the world including Darfur, Zimbabwe or even peaceful Uganda where the violent deaths are three times the rate of Iraq. http://news.independent.co.uk/world/africa/article354493.ece

So why don't you remove your blinkers and realise that there are many tragedies out there being propagated by some very nasty people indeed. Live under one of those regimes and you will long for the comfort of Blair and Bush!!!

We need proof of Saddam. Have you a sound bullet proof toaster to let us know if Saddam's head is or it does not exits. Saddam sold the Iraq. Bush bought with Blaire and now Blaire calls this off. In 2025 they will meet in the Hill side in Iran and say " George you were good. Tony thanks a lot for killing the chemical Ali, Here Rice you were good in Syria. Glad to see you equate Bush/Cheyney/Blair's activities with those of regimes in Darfur, Zimbabwe, Uganda... I couldn't agree with you more. The best estimate of war-caused deaths of children, women and men, appears to be around 65,000, or 1 in 400 (I think) equivalent to 13,000 dead in Scotland, with estimates of wounded ten times that figure.
