"head of al-Qaeda in Iraq"-Hopefully he'll meet the same fate as zarqawi, and soon.
Uh, when your adversaries are unveiling a 10-man alternative cabinet and first minister, I'd say all that's left is the *surrender ceremony.* Cheers,Lori R. PriceMgr., Citizens For Legitimate Governmenthttp://www.legitgov.org/
Amen #3. Death to all of them ASAP.
"Spread corruption and ruined the country"Dear oh dear. Of course the whole Iraq adventure was a ghastly error, but to have these lunatics assault our senses with their bizarre interpretation of morality is perhaps a step too far.Does anyone at all from within the Arab world have the nerve to challenge these guys and say..well ok, Saddam, the Shah were not very nice. But can you explain to me kind sir how driving a car packed with explosives into a market place full of women and children is somehow advancing the cause of humanity? There is a rush to condemn the west for their role in bringing about the present chaos in Iraq, and quite rightly so. However, there is not quite the rush to attack the murderous philosophy that is at the heart of these fanatics.Time and again we are told we need to "engage" with them and "understand their concerns". I fail to see how any sort of dialogue with a bunch of serial beheaders, taking their cue from a world view borne in the 9th century, is going to get us anywhere. The ordinary person in Iraq and Iran and elsewhere needs to reclaim their country from the fanatics who would return them to an era of repression and religious police. We, I am afraid, need that to happen before any progress can be made in the Middle East.
Dragonhead..there are those on here, who we all know, who will come to the defense of these "people", and say they have the right idea..Sickos, that they are. I wonder why they are silent now!! I am sure we won't be waiting a long..they always make their support for the terrorists known.
#8. Lynne, USA - I for one am not defending these nutters but it is the USA which opened the Pandoras Box that allowed these groups to survive and thrive. Now you can't put the lid back on the box so what now?
Who said the troop surge is not working?!
Dragonhied. You need some serious help mate.. YOU are dillusional and obsessed with the hatred of all muslims.
Oh I am all for the fight against terrorism. Be it someone strapping a bomb to their chest, bombing civilians from the air, or calling for Islam to be "wiped out". Its all the same to me..
8. Lynne. "will come to the defense of these "people""Ahem. Sorry. When has anyone on this forum ever come to support these nutcases? Aye, people have denounced what the US have done, but does that mean they support Al Qaeda too?
10. Troop surge working? Do you honestly believe that it will work in the first place? They are using the same tactics as in Vietnam (cantonising Baghdad), and we all know how that worked out. And just the other day 170+ people were killed. Is that working?Well see in the next year or so if the Surge works or not. But my gut tells me it is doomed to failure.
Aye, Dragonhied. I have lived in an Islamic area of Pune, India for 4.5 months. I have travelled to a couple of Islamic countries. I have met several people who have travelled to Iran, all with positive things to say.Honest question, what islamic countries have you been to? Really im just curious. The culture on the streets is totally different to what we have back home, but not to be mistaken for terrorism. How many times have you been out of China? if that is really where you are from..
#11. Dragonhead, China - I don't recall throwing you a bun but since you brought the subject up perhaps you can enlighten us all as to how the Muslim Fundamentalists operated under Saddam? He was no friend of Islamic Extremists and did not tollerate them - he had many faults but this was not one of them. The US removed him and his government and in doing so opened Pandoras Box with no clear plan of what to do once he was removed. The result is the chaos we have now and the tilting of the balance of power in the region to Iran. If you think otherwise then I would suggest it is you who are dilusional (as well as arrogant and unpleasant). Frankly with your belief in the haverings of Bush 'In the fight against terrorism, you are either with us or against us' makes me doubt you have all your marbles.
If al queda is a government 'with' a country, The Islamic State of Iraq, the US will have to change the 'status' of the 'war,' and the status of the 'terrorists' ...A constitutional scholor will have to 'unexplain' this to me, but I think this legally changes the way prisoners are treated, etc.
If they are heads of state, can we still kill them?

No, not all o us know who. Want to name a ew?
If people cant understand that America has a hidden or unspoken agenda in Iraq, this move by Iraq's prove it. Why else wouldn’t the same thing of happen in Afghan? Why, becasue America has, and still has a true reason for being their. I support the Iraq people to stand up, I thought that’s what Mr. Bush wanted us to do in Iraq. So, what’s the beef? Are we(America) there to help Iraq's, or ourselves? Why else are soldiers on the ground trying to understand why they are securing themselves there, and nothing else? This really wouldn’t of happen no matter who says what, if the reasons for our(American) occupation there was really to help free its people? Isn’t that a sign we did our job? Or do we insist "our" corrupt placed leaders are better than theirs?
Iraqi insurgents now fighting each other By TODD PITMAN, Associated Press Writer2 hours, 34 minutes ago At least two major insurgent groups are battling al-Qaida in provinces outside Baghdad, American military commanders said Friday, an indication of a deepening rift between Sunni guerrilla groups in Iraq.U.S. officers say a growing number of Sunni tribes are turning against al-Qaida, repelled by the terror group's sheer brutality and austere religious extremism. The tribes are competing with al-Qaida for influence and control over diminishing territory in the face of U.S. assaults, the officers say. The influx of Sunni fighters to areas outside the capital in advance of the security crackdown in Baghdad may have further unsettled the region."This is a big turning point," U.S. Maj. David Baker said Friday in the Diyala provincial capital of Baqouba. "If they are fighting against each other, it's better than them fighting against us."Even Sunnis who want to cooperate with the Shiite-led government are becoming more emboldened to speak out against al-Qaida. In Anbar province, more than 200 Sunni sheiks have decided to form a political party to oppose the terror group, participants said Friday. The clashes have erupted over the last two to three months, pitting al-Qaida in Iraq against the nationalist 1920 Revolution Brigades in Diyala and Salahuddin provinces north of Baghdad as well as Anbar to the west, U.S. officers said. In Diyala, another hard-line militant Sunni group, the Ansar al-Sunna Army, is also fighting al-Qaida, they said."It's happening daily," Lt. Col. Keith Gogas said Thursday in an interview at an Army base in Muqdadiyah, 60 miles northeast of Baghdad. "Our read on it is that that the more moderate, if you will, Sunni insurgents, are finding that their goals and al-Qaida's goals are at odds."American commanders cite al-Qaida's severe brand of Islam, which is so
they want some help against al-Qaida," Baker said."That's a plus for this place, and we're going to try to exploit that," he said. "We're not making allies with anybody ... but we are monitoring what's going on."American officers say the clashes have weakened the insurgency. In the last month in Diyala, 1920 Revolution Brigades fighters eased up attacks on Americans, largely turning their guns on al-Qaida, Baker said.On Tuesday, Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, who heads al-Qaida's umbrella group Islamic State in Iraq, urged militants in an audiotape to stop spilling each other's blood and unite against American forces and the government. He told rival groups he wanted to end their disagreements and vowed to punish any of his fighters who kill other militants. Then, in a Web video aired Thursday, the Islamic State in Iraq named a 10-member shadow government "Cabinet" in an apparent bid to present the coalition as an alternative to the U.S.-backed, Shiite-led administration of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.In a recent interview on Al-Jazeera TV, Ibrahim al-Shimmari, a spokesman for a rival group, Islamic Army in Iraq, said he did not recognize al-Qaida's claim to constitute a state. He said there could be no state "under crusader occupation" and vowed resistance against both American forces and Iran, which has close ties to the Shiite majority in Iraq. The Islamic Army accuses al-Qaida of killing 30 of its members. Al-Shimmari also accuses al-Qaida of assassinating the leader of the 1920s Revolution Brigades, Harith Dhaher al-Dhari, who died March 27 when gunmen fired rocket-propelled grenades on his car outside Baghdad. The Islamic State in Iraq groups eight Sunni insurgent factions, including al-Qaida. Key Sunni insurgent groups are not part of the coalition, including the Islamic Army of Iraq, the Ansar al-Sunna Army and the 1920 Revolution Brigades. Al-Qaida is believed to be mostl
of insurgent infighting in the deserts and farmlands around Muqdadiyah two to three months ago. "We get reports all the time there was a big firefight in this town," said Gogas, adding that the 1920 Revolution Brigades and the Ansar al-Sunna Army were fighting al-Qaida separately in villages around Muqdadiyah. In Anbar province, tradition epicenter of the Sunni insurgency, military officials have reported similar clashes. There, as in parts of Diyala, sheiks and tribal leaders have begun turning against Sunni extremists. Last fall, they formed a group called the Anbar Salvation Council, which has grown in recent months and helped reduce violence tremendously in cities like Ramadi, Anbar's capital. In Ramadi on Thursday, more than 200 Sunni sheiks agreed to form a party called Iraq Awakening, said Sheik Jubeir Rashid, a participant at the meeting and an aide to the leader of the Anbar Salvation Council. The group would be a national party, with a platform of opposition to al-Qaida and cooperation with the government, organizers said. "As tribe after tribe begins to reject al-Qaida, we are witnessing an escalation in violence by AQI (al-Qaida in Iraq) against the tribes," said Maj. Jeff Pool, military spokesman for Anbar. "East of Fallujah in the Zaidon and Zoba'a districts ... 1920 Revolution Brigades are fighting large-scale battles with AQI across their tribal areas." Speaking in Baqouba, Mixon said that "less and less of the population, by way of the tribes, is willing to be dominated by these groups because if they are, then the tribe loses its influence in the area." And, "because of pressure we have put on them in certain areas, they have begun vying for control of space and the population," he said. Gogas said some people are tired of fighting. "I think what's changed is, time has gone by and it has not gotten better for the normal folks in Iraq," he
Maybe it's working...maybe the general public is waking up to the fact that Al Qaeda does not care about them...but about themselves.
#15...I would, then I get pounced on again, and again..I will name them if they do not post here!!..Let's give it some time. I promise to name but a few.
I also found an article today about a 12 year old boy, who the jihadists had beheading a man on video. This is what they they are teaching the young now!!I will spare you the article. But how disappointing is this? Makes me a little angry that these people are getting away with it.
Lynne
Instead of taking all that space to paste some of the article, why not just post the link, then we can read it all ourselves
#22 Lynne
Why spare us it. here it is here, a wonderfully written description with no proof, is that why you wanted to spare us??

I think this is the link for the young boy...I hope it works
nope..doesn't work
# 15...Djookers,...aka James Donald is one of them...Halitosis, aka Ricardo (I think) is another one. They will be coming out of the woodwork.
BTW Djookers..how come you never complain about the length of Wally's posts?
#26 Lynne,
Worked fine
#28 Lynne,
Contrary to a rumour started by a wee eejit on these boards, I am not James Donald. Both of us posted right after each other on one thread, both of us had our location as "Edinburgh", not that unusual given that the Scotsman is an Edinburgh based paper, and a delusional little troll equated that with us being one and the same. If you wish to believe it be my guest, but you would be wrong.
#29 Lynne
I was not complaining about the length of your post. I was only stating that you could have posted the link to the story rather than copy and paste. It is generally easier to read on the original site than in these little comment boxes broken up down the thread. A lot of formatting gets stripped out to, as these boards only do plain text. Or if there were a photograph or video that helped with the understanding of the piece that would also be missed with a copy and paste. Wallys post may go on a bit but they are his own writing, as far as I know you cannot create a hyperlink to a brain... even if it belongs to the great Wally.
#28. Lynne, USA - "# 15...Djookers,...aka James Donald is one of them" - is this another delusional "string" you've added to your bow or simply another symptom or your paranoia? Get a grip........
#25 LynneI don't know how to do it either.I've decided its the computer program and not me!After a week of dismal weather and constant rain and flooding, and killing and death, and more death, today it is so beautiful outside! I think spring may be springing!March- April in Vermont is suicide month. It's another useless explaination of a horrific week
I agree...I can't wait to get outside this weekend., by the way, you can read that "they" have already started the pouncing on me!!!Fasten your seat belt...you're next!!!
#33. Lynne, USA - ""they" have already started the pouncing on me" - "I'm not paranoid but they are all out to get me!". Seek help........

Lori says:
"Uh, when your adversaries are unveiling a 10-man alternative cabinet and first minister, I'd say all that's left is the *surrender ceremony.*Cheers,Lori R. PriceMgr., Citizens For Legitimate Government"
Let me get this straight. Our adversaries are "unveiling a 10-man alternative cabinet and first minister" so we should surrender? I see. Well, Lori if that's your guiding principal can you see that it leads you into something of a conundrum? Let's call this the Law of Lori:
If one finds oneself in a conflict and ones adversaries begin "unveiling a 10-man alternative cabinet and first minister" then one should set about preparing a "*surrender ceremony.* "
Let's just take you on your word on that. You see, the Iraqis already unveiled their cabinet, named a prime minister and even held nationwide elections. Now remember, we're playing by your rules, shouldn't the other guys have to be the ones surrendering?
If any of you readers want a good laugh to start the day, follow her link, it's hysterical. Not nearly in the same league as Wally, but funny nonetheless.
I urge all readers to go to the link on Lori's post #4 because I believe you may witness history in the making. It seems, now I may be wrong and if so nothing but a few minutes time lost, that, inspired by her al qaeda heroes, that Lori is on the verge of setting up her own "shadow government" in Connecticut.
Furthermore she may be naming herself prime minister there by making her "the First Female Prime Minister" of, not just Connecticut, but of the entire region of New England. The only question remaining is where she will accept the surrender of the American army. New Haven?
Nomad..where have you been...the traitor Harry Reid, Majority Leader said we "already lost the war"
Nomad, if anyone votes for that corrupt ( and they should go after him for his real estates practices), loser, then they are crazy!!!

I refer to your last paragraph. There’s no need to live in Islamic countries to stay informed of the situation there. The detailed information from various source of media in the Internet, TV, and newspapers are suffice to get some ideas of what have been going on over there.
With your time spent in those Islamic countries, it is not difficult to conclude you have been completely brainwashed by the terrorist apologists and odd mad mullahs there! If you think Dragonhead is obsessed with the hatred of all Muslims, then what about you?? You are sickening obsessed with the hatred of all Jews and Israel!!!
