And Turkey is agitating to join the EU ... Please, please no. Europe is already full of throat-slitting Islamist immigrants who, via their "official" spokesmen, have goverments twisted around their hate-filled little fingers. No, no, no.

The missionaries have firmly kept going the conversion process in all parts of the world, and for what end when their hallmarks such as Bush and Blair stand out as killers and vandals. What good to infiltrate and disturb the equanimity and innocence of a country by conversion play

Conversion is the historical and theological bedrock of both Chrisitanity and Islam-if not by the word then by the sword.
These evangelists were likened to Crusaders by these Muslim extremists who have now reverted to 11th century thinking.

#6-Dragonhead, your reading the koran (with a K). Try reading the quran (with a Q). Maybe that's the peaceful religious one!

Having spent years being brainwashed by the PC Brigade, I've now come to the conclusion that having my throat slit by a Muslim fundamentalist would be a culturally enriching experience.

Once Turkey joins the EU millions of them will be free to enter Europe at will.

Happy days!!

Spreading the religion of peace is a cut-throat business - more branches opening soon all over Europe.

Tony da Fist,

Hey, Turkey wants to join the EU? Awesome! Maybe if Christians and Muslims are more often joined in official coalitions and exposed to each other on a massive scale, these useful idiots (or just idiots, if they're acting alone) will see what stupidity they are responsible for spreading, and stop their nonsense.

Hey, Turkish morons killed 3 Christians on the same day that Muslim fanatics killed 180 Muslims in Iraq, and a day after a Korean-American killed 33 people in America. All of the perpetrators of these acts are murderous b*******, to put it lightly. I hold each of them personally responsible for their actions.

That said, if these Turks hated Christians and these Iraqis hated their fellows Muslims and the Korean-American kid hated his classmates, that's on THEM, not on all Turks, Iraqis, or Korean-Americans.

When will we start seeing this simplest and most fundamental of truths? I am of Irish descent. Does that make me responsible for a century and more of IRA- and ULA-sponsored killing? That is as ludicrous as assuming that all Muslims want to slit your throat.

Wake up, people.

12

J.K.,

More violence from jihadis? Not surprising. What a shame for their victims.

The jihadis will never learn that their politics of fear and violence is never likely to stir popular support, it never has. Disgraceful.

#12 - You're right - too many are quick to tar close to 1 billion fellow humans beings with the extremist brush.

These extremist nutters are few and far between thankfully. The most important thing for us in the west is to deny their ideas the oxygen of relevance. I don't think we'll achieve that by occupying middle eastern countries, quite the contrary unfortunately.

13

Conan,

#12 - Tony - well, I am certain that the Islamist murderers you mentioned will be suitably chastised by knowing that you are holding them personally responsible for their actions. Good for you, Tony.

And for a follow-up?

Perhaps you'll have them write thousand times - I will not cut the Infadels throat?

Or, maybe your scathing condemation will alone suffice?

I have a more practical suggestion.

We need to kill off the Islamists and destroy their nests, wherever they are, including their mosques if need be.

The work of the Crusades is nowhere near done.

Turkey will not get to join the EU.

Not in any of our lifetimes. It's unwritten EU law.

I'm not going to apologise for them but remember these are teenagers. BUt not just any old teenagers, Islamic Militant Teenagers.

Teenagers tend to be a bit of a handful.

Oh no, hang the murderers, or at least send them to jail for life with no parole. They can write whatever they want on the walls there.

Just don't use their actions to taint their brothers, sisters, parents, friends and extended families, nor, for that matter, their neighbors, fellow citizens, countrymen and worshippers.

Innocent until proven guity doesn't have any religious connotation, nor should it.

Axel Heidsman,

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.

One of the dangers that arises when you use war to implement policy, and the war develops into a civil conflict, is that it becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish between friend and foe. Consequently, operations that harm friends as well as foes, rapidly convert the former into the latter.

The war in Iraq is creating new enemies for western values in much the same way as terrorism is creating Westerners who are simultaneously enemies of all things Islamic and enemies of such western values as compassion, justice and discrimination between doers of good and doers of evil.

Religious murderers are the products of their socialisation and education. Killing them will take them out of circulation, but it will not stop others from taking their places. Perhaps, to take Karl von Clausewitz's aphorism a step further, education is the continuation of war by other means. Perhaps those who are not warmongers will eventually recognize that the Peace Corps is mightier than the Marine Corps.

Gunga Din,

Turkey WILL definitely join the EU , moves are already well in place for that to happen. It's what the Turkish government wants , but as far as most of the general population is concerned , many are worried about the economic impact the euro will have on most of them as it has always seen an increase in prices in every country that joined the EU. Most Greeks,French and Italians I have spoken to on visits have always said it has had a bad effect on prices and the modest incomes or old folks are the ones to suffer most. The same fears were often expressed when I spoke to Turkish folk over the last couple of years whilst on visits there. However , that aside , economies always tend to balance out after a short period , even ourselves , as we often see a hike in interest rates after every General Election , and this one will be no different. As for Turkey joining the EU , it will be a fantastic boost for the whole EU as an economic market since Turkey grows enough food to feed the EU at least 7 times over. Moreover , the paranoid racists amongst these forums will get to see a lot more of Turkish culture on their own soil without even having to go over there !

29

Covert Action,

Turkish culture? Kebab shops and honour killings, my frent.

We have fish'n'chip shops,Chinese takeaways,Indian takeaways , so why not real kebab shops. Honour killings ? A problem for you ? Well , it's not too much to worry about when we already have paedophiles, rapists, car thieves, fraudsters, corrupt politicians/councillors, and any other felon type you may wish to add on. Not to forget the paranoid racists who I mentioned earlier. Funnily enough , these types were the ones I saw often in Turkey , propping up the bar whilst complaining that a pint of Efe's was over a quid these days , and that the steak 'n' ale pie with chips over at Ahmet's was as good as homemade - which it was. And while they were sitting there all day and night, quite the impotent cuckolds , the local lads at the hotels were seeing to it that their wives and girlfriends really got a taste of the real Turkey.

#32, as a Turk thats exactly what i want. North Cyprus becomes Turkey's 82nd province. Turkish inhabited regions of Bulgaria (which are basically an extension of Turkey anyway) also officially become part of Turkey.

Everyone's happy. You can continue your lives in peace, or at least under the permission of your english queen lizzie anyway. And Papadadapapdadipapada-poulos can get his little enosis.

Good point #30!

If you can't attack the idea, take a shot at the man.

Good strategy; works better when you actually know something more about the person, but you did what you could with what you had. How admirable of you!

Bulgaria is European and won't give up any of its land to Turkey. If the Turks there are not happy they can leave for Turkey. Similarly the Turks in occupied Cyprus can leave and hand back the land to the legitimate Cypriot government. All this will be a lot less hassle than your "Lebensraum for Turks" plan.
