If any proof were needed of how out of control this part of the World now is,then an army attacking what was supposed to be a Police Force is surely it!
We will regret for many years the actions of Bush and B liar, and this so called war on terrorism (oil) has not even begun yet! A time bomb is ticking!
When will we learn that the creation of a supreme body like United Nations was an attempt to intervene under control and with approval and agreement, and the last thing you should ever do is go in without consent and destroy what fragile authority it ever had.
This is madness and Bush & Blair are the architects.

Iraq is a disaster.
This farcical occupation is not worthy of the lives of our young soldiers.
Bring them home.
Now !

Perfect example of how power corrupts, anyone and everyone. These police men became the one needing to be policed. Why are we actually surprised by this? It has occurred more often then not. And yes, we should get all our soldiers home.

I must appologize for the simpleton from texas. In some areas of the US intelligence is looked on as a weakness. You can tell if a person is from one of these communities from their lack of, well, intelligence. These people argue with insulting words and try to belittle others. W Bush is a great example of one of these people. We should sympathize with their inability to form cognitive thoughts but we also should completly ignore anything that comes out of their mouths. Oh and we should also impeach them and try them in a court of law when they commit treason while the country is at war.

What the hell are we doing there? Sadam did a better job of running Iraq and that sadly is not meant as a joke.

A good day's work by the British Army; saving lives - well done!

They have a grasp on reality, unlike our leaders.

I truly hope that Blair and Bush are as stupid as they seem. If they are not, then they would know what the consequences of their illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq would be. In which case, they are up there in the hall of fame with Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot and all the other products of our enlightened age.

Even if they were ignorant, they would have been advised not to do it, which puts their sanity in doubt. If, as I believe, Bush and Blair carried out these crimes for their own purposes, then the whole world is in peril because of the failure of western democracy.

I am not into politics. I would nearly always not approve war. But I don't understand how you Mr Robert Wallace can even consider to represent your country by spouting such obscenities. Your country has a rich, lovely cultural background. Personally I am mainly attracted by music and film coming from your country. And even though also in these domains one can witness a big loss in quality on an average I sincerely hope you, Mr. 'pussy sperm' Robert Wallace are not repesentative of the cultural level in the US these days. You apparently own a computer and you know how to type a comment here on the internet... You didn't even make an error in the spelling of 'pussy'... I wonder how you can end up being like you are. Try reading a few books about something different than pussies. Maybe you will start to see the beauty and variety in life and start to accept a difference in opinion without resorting to agrressivity and obscenities. Become a man, not a dog. Be a proud US citizen. Not a vulgar low disgusting one. Everyone is reading here and forming opnions. And guess how our opnion gets influenced when we read these sweet comments coming from Texas USA. Sad. Anyhow here is always room for change. Let's start by wishing you all, also you Mr. Wallace a real Happy Christmas and I wish you well. Think happy thoughts, it can help a bit. Never wish bad things to others. There is enough misery in the world...

Blair manufactured evidence of WMD to justify sending British bombs and troops to Iraq.

As a result of that 100,000 people are dead, and many more seriously injured.

To my mind Blair is a war criminal and should stand trial in the Hague.

Any political party supporting this action will get my vote at the next election.

Don't forget that Tony Blair could not have gone to war without the support of the Conservatives, who knew full well what he was up to. None of the other parties has the trial of Prime Monster Bliar on their manifestos.

The only political party that you (and I) can vote for is the one formed By Reg Keays and Rose Gentle.

Reg stood against Tony Blair in the Sedgefield constituency last time, and amassed a good few votes including mine. His speech was acutely embarrassing to Tony and Cherie Blair, who were on the platform with him.

I am dismayed and disappointed by my fellow constituents who lost their chance to change history, and voted once again for the criminal Blair and his gang.

My concern about this story is that it shows that the UK forces are NOT working with the Police in Basra and have not been doing so for some time. Why is the UK forces not monitoring these stations on a daily basis? Why did the RE blow the building up when the BBC reports that a combat bulldozer was also used, for effect maybe. And of course the guilty are allowed to run off. If this is the level of intervention by UK forces I think we might as well bring them home.

I am a bit confused but what was the reasons given for going into Iraq nearly four years ago in the first place ?it was to find WMD's, then it was to remove Saddam, then it was bring then to help fight the war on terror, then it was to bring democracy to the Iraqi people then it was ? what is the next reason ?

Blair manufactured evidence and told lies, Bush told lies, Blair did this, Bush did this, their wives are this and that.........For goodness sake, these people are Politicians. Lloyd George was a liar, The Kennedy's where corrupt, Eisenhower treated us like idiots, Paton hated Monty, hundreds of Politicians are having affairs and are Homosexual, Chirac hates us, hopefully we hate Chirac. Bomber Harris was a murdering swine, the holocaust did not take place. Saddam was nice to his people. The KGB are mis-understood, they are really like the NHS ...... This is POLITICS....This is the lust for one person, a group of people or a Country to get their own way no matter what.

The thing which never fails to amaze me is that you lot seem surprised....this is life, we're human beings, we're nasty animals.

But why does God allow this...GOD / MUHAMMED whatever you want to call him.... as I said, we're human beings and we're nasty animals who think we have devine guidance from a switched on cookie who wrote a book. NOT MANY WARS AROUND WHERE RELIGION IS NOT INVOLVED. Saddam did not mention fighting for freedom - he said Big "A" would give them the strength to soak the dessert sands with Christian blood. Bush said - God is on our side....and then we say all this war is horrific but big "A" and "G" have ok'd it - then we go to church or other buildings without planning permission and moan about Politicians -people we put there to run the Country and make nasty decisions. Then on the way home from Church we try to run some idiot off the road because they tried to overtake us, and we'll just nip into the Pub for a couple..ok we might kill a kid on the way home because we've had one too many...but it's worth the risk... ..HUMAN BEINGS

Don't you think it's time we all woke up and smelled the coffee.... NOBODY IS RIGHT OR WRONG, HUMANS ARE JUST NASTY THINGS AND POLITICIANS ARE THE PEOPLE WE HAVE LET TAKE THE LEAD.

A good day's work for our soldiers. It's a pity the Government can't do such a good job in looking after our Forces! Or telling us the truth about invading in the first place.

It is not before time that we took action to stem the tide of corruption and brutality that seems to have been shaping up in the anarchy that has developed mainly with the support of outsiders but, why should it be left to us British to sweep-up the mess caused by the Americans? Furthermore, are the British and Americans the only UN countries in Iraq and if not why do we hear so little of the activities of the others? As far I am able to measure Britain is the only stabalising influence in Iraq.

Come to Chicago, if it's a lesson in manners you're seeking. I'm a lot closer, and I wouldn't mind teaching you some.

Once again, Americans posting: You are guests here. Try to behave as such.

If you are so much a fan of America's stinking Liar-In-Chief that you can't control yourself, go to some other site.

No, these are phony Christians. They support and are supported by right-wing 'Christian' nut-jobs, including End-Timers. If you are familiar with End Times garbage, then you know it promulgates the belief in the eventual conversion of most of the Jews to Christianity at the end of the world - and the remainder - along wilth everyone else who refuses to convert - will be dispatched to Hell.
