While I don't know all the facts about what happened. I can say, this sounds to me like another example of a Millitary Leader, having delusions of Grandure. Heck. It worked in Pakistan, he's probally thinking, so why not here.

What's the matter? Britain losing control, as they did with Bin Laden, Sadam Hussain, Idi Amin, etc.etc.

#2 I think you mean Australia ... the British Empire pulled out of Fiji some time ago.

It is the British Commonwealth after all, and it will be commonwealth troops - yes 'British', either from Australia or New Zealand, who will take it upon themselves (in a colonial manner, perhaps, but none the worse for that..) who have to go and sort this out. I was in the Solomans when they saved they day - and I wasn't the only one who was grateful - thank god for that sort of intervention..
