By the time you check in to fly - then get from the destination point to your business meeting in the city centre - it will be quicker by train?
And will there be one every 15 minutes...?
I think it might be better for onward connections to the island services mentioned. Then again, if you live/work in Leith - maybe we'll see some civil servants and Glasgow-based Ministers travelling to the Scottish Executive offices by seaplane.
I'm sure Tavish Scott will have his own personal seaplane soon...
I don't believe it.
Ricky Henderson's vocabulary is surely not broad enough to encompass the phrase "intriguing concept".
give it a try
Edinburgh-Glasgow by air. What a stupid idea and completely financially unfeasible.
The idea could really take off.
As a species, we're pretty insane.
The in-flight movie should be "An inconvenient truth". This is just global warming insanity. Still, what does the loss of a planet matter if a handful of people can squeeze in one more "vital" meeting per day.
Just a gimmick for people small in the trouser department who need a boost to their egos.No mention either about consent from locals about planes, however small, flying and landing near residential areas. Now, excuse me while I jump in my helicopter to go to the newsagent.
To to any Biz its ok But anyone flying to Edinburgh from Glasgow to shop Theres No point ,The shops in Edinburgh are Awful.
What, is it April Fools Day again already? This is either: a) the stupidest idea ever, or b) a story made up by the Evening News to generate some interest on a quiet news day.
Seriously, how are sea-planes going to take off and land on the Firth of Forth without posing a danger to shipping? How are they going to fly safely in our increasingly-crowded airspace? And what is this proposal going to do to reduce CO2 emissions?
