Good story, thanks. With regards to the RHC Peppers...is it just me or does anyone else think that every song they've brought out in the last three/four years sounds exactly the same? And how many songs about California do they need? Really, enough's enough. Please someone, tell me I'm not the only one who thinks the "peppers" are Really Honestly Cr@p.

So they are only evaluating the 200 "active" "top artists", which says absolutely nothing about the quality of their music, rather the marketing push behind them. This piece is not about how good a band or their music is, it's about the latest music industry gadget for evaluating their own sales and marketing strategies that have "their" artists blaring out of every radio and TV in Britain to the deliberate exclusion of hundreds of other musicians, past and present. I presume that if a listener couldn't care less about the preselected list of 200 "top artists", they are somehow lesser beings who have made the "wrong" musical choices.

And how ironic that the bottom of this article links to the related topic of "Indie Music"!
