Why are the police wasting their time on victimless crimes? Most of the laws governing the roads are there for public safety and should be (but are not) rigorously enforced. Not wearing a seatbelt, however, is literally your own funeral. Trying to prevent Darwinism like this is a waste of police resources when there are plenty of real crimes they could be dealing with.

Graham - you're missing the point. Solving crimes that have victims doesn't raise cash. Catching motorists who have a death wish can contribute £30 a time to L&Bs coffers. The polis need the money to pay Paddy Tomkins ridiculous new salary.
