Our whole modern world is too materialistic. We're spending money we don't have on things we don't need. We're working longer and longer hours and more days just so we can have large houses, H2s and the latest video game consoles. It's time to grow up and live a more natural life.

I think, this artical dosn't touch on the Evoloutionary reasons for this Genetic predispositioin, to attain better and more advanced technologies, I would suggest that this is a driving force in the story of mankind.
