Iran gets fired up about McCain's cigarette remark

IRAN'S foreign ministry has condemned remarks by Republican presidential candidate John McCain that exporting cigarettes could be a way of killing Iranians.
State-owned English language Iran Daily newspaper quoted ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini as denouncing the remarks as "inappropriate" and describing Mr McCain's attitude as "regretful".

On 8 July, Mr McCain responded to reports that the US exported $158 million worth of cigarettes to Iran during George Bush's presidency by saying: "Maybe that's a way of killing them."

He immediately afterwards said he was joking.

Iran said it supports neither US presidential campaign but hopes the election will bring a change in US foreign policy.

Watch the fear factor as an election ploy ratchet up as November approaches. Remember orange/yellow terrorist alerts in the U.S.? We haven't heard of them since GBW won his second term but we'll be seeing plenty of them again come autumn.

Amazing, on one hand the Yee-has are just itching to bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb bomb Iran, while on the other hand they are carrying out millions of dollars of trade with them. Would that not make these companies traitors. I wonder if these revelations will ever make it into the US mainstream media. I would be amazed if it did. Just like the revelation that it was Yee-ha land that built Irans first Nuclear facilities after having the appalling sha installed,after Iran had the audacity to put it's oil reserves under state control.

At least the chances of them being able to launch yet another war are diminishing rapidly, especially if their soldiers keep getting killed at their current rate.

...Exporting drugs to Iran makes a change from importing drugs from that part of the world.

I would imagine however that many more Americans are killed by the drugs entering the US from Colombia, Afghanistan, the Golden Triangle, not to mention your home grown variety.

also know THIS about obama... it is a FACT that he runs about 7-10% better in the polls than he does at the ballot box.... so until he gets (and maintains) that kind of lead (which he has NEVER done) get used to the phrase "President McCain"... regardless of what you read in the press....

and wally will come with some "conspiracy theory" about how obama won the polls but lost at the ballot box....
