Illegal immigrants killed in crash

ABOUT 18 people were killed and a further 25 injured when a lorry carrying illegal immigrants plunged into a river after overturning on a road in the Turkish town of Malkara, near the border with Greece, yesterday.
Most of the dead were said to be from Burma and Pakistan.
