A MAN died in Israel when a rocket was launched from the Hamas-run Gaza Strip yesterday, the first such fatality in nine months, after Israeli forces killed ten Palestinians, most of them militants, in the territory.
The rocket attack seemed certain to increase public pressure on prime minister Ehud Olmert to order tougher military action.
