A FORMER SS doctor accused of sending 900 children to their deaths under the Nazi euthanasia programme has been awarded the highest honour by a German medical association.
The decision by the German Federation of Internal Medicine (BDI) to honour Dr Hans-Joachim Sewering, 92, comes as Jewish organisations continue to pressure Germany to put him on trial for murder.

The US Anti-Defamation League, the Simon Wiesentha
l Centre and an independent committee seeking his prosecution claim Dr Sewering – who says he joined the SS for "social reasons" – was an enthusiastic supporter of the euthanasia programme, a secret Nazi policy of murdering handicapped people, which ran across Austria and Germany before the Second World War.

Dr Sewering has always denied being responsible for euthanasia.

Dr Sewering is accused of participating in the transfer of 900 Catholic children from Schoenbrunn Sanitarium near Dachau – site of the Nazis' first concentration camp – to the Eglfing-Haar "Healing Centre" south of Munich.

Eglfing-Haar was, in reality, a killing centre of the euthanasia programme. Four nuns, who broke their vow of silence in 1993, claim to have witnessed the doctor ordering the transfer of the children and signing documents to that effect.

Since euthanasia is now legal or moving toward legality in so many European countries, isn't this fellow guilty only for "being in advance of the age"?

#2. Get real. The Nazis didn't practice euthanasia per se, it was plain and simple murder.

Too many Nazis avoided being brought to justice; many with the complicity of both the Russian and American governments (e.g. SS Major Werner Von Braun).

I don't give a monkey's what age these murdering swine are. They resigned from the human race the day they started murdering innocent people.

While right about the complicity of the Russkis & Yanks, Guga ... many scientists who were not Nazis, were press-ganged to serve in the Wermacht and the Luftwaffe.

Not all Germans were Nazis ... and not all Nazis were German. There were war criminals on both sides ... but the Nazis were particularly evil. They should all hang!

"T*ss" (instead of "monkey's" is apparently now another of the Hootsmon's "unsuitable" words. So what happens on their reporting of the men who t*ss cabers at the Highland Games??

Strange that there would appear to be no mention of Dr Sewering on the websites for the ADL and the Simon Wiesenthal Centre. The main driver for the accusations against him is a American Jewish Doctor, Dr Michael Franzblau who has allegedly used thousands of dollars of his own money to "bring Dr Sewering to justice" (the fact that he was former National Commissioner of the Anti-Defamation League may be a clearer indication of the source of his funds). Franzblau's campaign has been going on since the 1990's and only appears to have bee resusitated owing to this award for Sewering. To date he has produced one document with Sewering's signature on it, dismissed by the Germans as a forgery (the KGB were know to produce such forgeries).
If there is new and compelling evidence against Dr Sewering that could result in a successful prosicution for murder then it should be presented to the German authorities without delay (bearing in mind that Sewering is 92).

#4 BW. The Hootsmon's Pravda Branch and Xinhua Branch censors have lost the plot as regards all the words they are blocking. You can't even make a comment about someone trying to p e r v e r t the course of justice.

Maybe they've set up a new branch for their censors, the Mary Whitehouse Branch.

#6. You've nailed it, Guga. I've had two posts removed by administration today. Is it still three and you're out these days?? Our late lamented and oft-times barred bard of the board, Scaramouche would have an appropriate song for this I'm sure!

On 22July1946 the Irgun Jewish terrorist gang bombed the King David Hotel in Jerusalem killing some 91 people.

The Jewish terrorist group's leader was Begin, a future Prime Minister of Israel! He was rewarded with a premiership of a country that was founded on terrorism, murder ethnic cleansing and genocide.

I never heard Jewish voices being raised to bring him to justice for his crimes or the crimes of the other Jewish terrorist groups!

Come to think of it, the Israeli defence force regularly murder clearly identifiable and accredited Journalists covering operations it carries out against the Palestinians and no Jewish voices are calling for punishment!

My post was sarcastic, of course: although I do not see a moral difference between eliminating the "unfit" then and eliminating the "too expensive to care for" or the "too painful for us to look at" today. Murder of the helpless innocent is all of a piece to me.

If Sewering is accused based on one suspect document and that produced by the always-self-serving ADA, then no charges should be brought in law. Our General Patton got in lots of trouble by pointing out that most Nazis were Nazis of convention or convenience, not of conviction: that their political attachments were not much different than those of people in free societies. We should take that as a warning, of course.

#10 Tom in Belmont,Belmont - "If Sewering is accused based on one suspect document and that produced by the always-self-serving ADA, then no charges should be brought in law" - No charges will be brought. This is simply a device to smear his reputation. If there was any real evidence then Zuroff and the SWC would have been on his case years ago.
I believe that Dr Sewering's membership of the SS was confined to the Reiter-SS, an equestrian part of the SS exempted from the Nuremburg judgement of the SS as an illegal organisation. This exemption was apparently due to its lack of importance in the SS empire but some more cynical observers have attributed the exemption to the membership of several Royals such as Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands.

That only makes Patton's point that self-interest (and perhaps the protection of self and family members in a vicious totalitarian state) created a lot of "paper Nazis".
Catholic workers in 1945-1990 Poland who were forced to join Communist groups to get work were not condemned by the Church, then or now, despite the notorious depredations of Communists against Catholics. Your name on a piece of paper can't make you a "war criminal".
