A LOTHIANS college is holding a Homecoming ceilidh and auction to raise funds to send a group of students on a work placement to Texas.
West Lothian College wants to send six hospitality students to visit the Texan city of Grapevine, which is twinned with the West Lothian region.

It is renowned for its good quality hotels, restaurants and conference facilities, where the students will get the chance to hone their culinary skills in one of Grapevine's top hotels.

The Homecoming ceilidh will take place on March 6 at the college.

It will feature a fundraising auction with items up for grabs including a spa day, golf lessons and the chance of getting a personal chef for the night.

West Lothian College principal, Mhairi Laughlin, said: "Our staff and students have worked very hard putting this event together and are now looking forward to the night. The students will benefit hugely from this trip, and the experience they will gain will be invaluable."
