Probe into mobile ringtone sites

DOZENS of British websites selling ringtones to children are under investigation following a Europe-wide inquiry into abuses of consumer protection laws.
An EU survey published today shows that more than 90 per cent of 43 UK sites marketing mobile services, such as logos and ringtones, were misleading and confusing.

They also try to trick you into buying ringtones as well by giving the impression that they are freely available---until of course you try to download it to your phone.

I just use tracks from my CD collection on the phone. ringtones like "Light My Fire", "Reeling in the Years", "Sweet Leaf" or "Anarchy in the UK" are not available for download in any case.

My kids have MP3 playable phones and I download for free from the net for free. Saves a fortune.
