A NEW strain of bacteria that is resistant to antibiotics has been found on a farm in the north of England, it was revealed yesterday.
Campaigners warned that the new type of E coli could cause life-threatening symptoms, including severe cases of food poisoning, and was resistant to almost all antibiotics. It is the first time the strain has been found with antibiotic resistance in the UK.
