MINISTERS made a bid to host the 2012 Olympics despite their own experts warning it would bring little economic or social benefit, it was claimed yesterday.
A strategy document, called Game Plan, was signed off in December 2002 by the then prime minister, Tony Blair. Leading economists and civil servants found the main benefit of staging the Olympics would be a boost of national morale.

That would be typical of the war criminal Bliar. His only interest would be in his usual self-seeking and self-glorifying; never mind the cost to the taxpayer for the benefit of Londoners, and to the detriment of the rest of the country.

#1 What a ridiculous statement. Blair was never going to be in power in 2012, so the Olympics would never bring him the benefits you claim. Still, never mind the logic or the facts, just have a go. Pathetic.

The sooner the people of Scotland are out of this discredited union the better.

Not an eyelid is being batted at this revelation.

As I have repeatedly said, Liebour are not intrested in what's good for the country. Their one obsession is keeping their place at the trough.

Nothing more, nothing less. The oylimpics should be
suspended during these critical financial times.

But you can bet your last euro this mob will plough on ahead, no matter what it costs the tax-payer, no matter what funding they have to slash from sport development etc etc.

They simply don't care.
