THIEVES escaped with a MG ZR sports car from the long stay car park at Bathgate Railway Station.
The car was taken from the car park at the back of the station, between 1.30pm on Saturday and 2.45pm yesterday, said police.

In another incident, thieves stole a 50cc moped from outside an address in Don Drive, Craigshill.

The machine had been left secured by a padlock and chain.

It was reported stolen between 1.30am and 8.30am yesterday.

Anyone with information on the car theft should call Bathgate Police Station on 01506 652323, or with moped theft information should call Livingston police.

I take it that they are looking for a pair of out-of-work hairdressers.

A bit optimistic leaving in that unprotected car park overnight.

Police have confined the search for the MG to the surrounding streets given the reliability history of the marque.

1= It's not an MG TF so no hairdressers required.

But to call it a 'sports car' makes me near wet myself. I once had one of these heaps and laughed like hell when Arnold Clark in Uphall told me it would rattle - it's a sports car.

Your **** its a sports car I told them :)

Longstay car park? You mean the car park at the back of the Argos/Lidl building? The one with no security, out of the way so anyone could do anything to your car without witnesses?

Calling it a longstay car park is ambitious.
