Fat gene 'keeps people hungry'

A gene linked to obesity causes people to put on weight by keeping them hungry, scientists have learned.
In a recent study of 3337 children, researchers at University College London found that the FTO gene stopped people's appetite "switching off" when they should feel full.

#1 has obviously missed the unfortunate fact for pure Darwinists that parents behaviour can affect how genes are expressed in kids. It isn't simply a matter of a couple of switches as it was for some of the simpler diseases. The more we wade into the chemical minefield that is the human body the more we see that mind over matter has a huge amount to do with it so maybe it is Joe who has the "Ignorant W*nker" gene, .... I won't say stupid but ill informed, ignorant, certainly. Some "Scientists" deny these links but of course it is these same sorts of "Scientists" who don't believe that bees flap their wings less in warm static air than they do in cooler static air, the complete reverse of what our flying machines do. See here for just one of the papers, 20DegC warmer and therefore less dense at the same pressure, you can do PV=MRT ca't you Joe, 16% less flapping and a 60% reduction in energy usage in thinner air. Now just how do you explain that one Joe? Because your "Scientists" can't. Google Shell Boffin Sinclair and choose "I'm Feeling Lucky" and follow the link to the Bodgeit site and look at the bee paper comments. According to the Press Association, this gene is responsible for an increase of 1.5kg (if one copy is present) or 3kg (if two copies present) in weight, compared to someone without the gene. As to feeling hungry all the time if you have this gene, fiddlesticks! Some of us eat for pleasure, not because we're hungry.
