Carter’s ‘shame’ over US torture

FORMER US President Jimmy Carter told the Hay literary festival in Mid-Wales of his “embarrassment, horror and despair” at his nation’s alleged involvement in torturing prisoners.
The 83-year-old told a 1300-strong audience he wanted the next US president to promise never to use torture again.

It would be a shock if Mr Carter would say something good about his own country,if not then please just retire to an old folks home and watch some t.v ( Operah ,Judge Judy ).He and Mr Bush would have to be the least successful American Presidents ever. Perhaps he should meet up with Cherie Blair and bore her with his views.
