Branson abandons yacht record bid

SIR Richard Branson yesterday abandoned his record-seeking attempt to cross the Atlantic in a single-hulled vessel after what the Virgin tycoon said was a "night from hell" of strong winds.
Branson set sail from New York on Wednesday with his children Holly, 26, Sam, 23, and Olympic sailing hero Ben Ainslie.
