Titanic survivor sells mementoes to pay for nursing home fees

Hampshire: The last remaining survivor of the Titanic is to sell mementoes from the fated cruise liner to help pay for her nursing home fees.
Millvina Dean is hoping to raise over £3000 from the auction.

The 96-year-old from Ashurst is selling clothes given to her family after the rescue, rare prints and compensation letters.

Birmingham: Students escaped a severe fire which tore through a residential college.

Eight crews last night battled the blaze at Fircroft College in Selly Oak, which broke out at 9.30pm.

All students were accounted for as firefighters tackled the blaze into the evening.
