Prisoners cool off with fans

BOSSES at HMP Addiewell bought hundreds of electric fans after prisoners complained they were too hot, it was reported today.
Prisoners at the £130 million privately-operated West Lothian jail, which opened in December last year, already enjoy flat-screen televisions and en-suite showers.

Tory justice spokesman Bill Aitken has criticised the move.

He said: "Many law-abiding people cannot afford fans.

"If the cons find it too hot in jail then stop committing crime."

Prison operator Kalyx said the fans had been bought using profit from the prison shop.

Jail doesn't work because the jails aren't tough enough. The neds LAUGH in your face at the prospect of jailtime; It's a wee break for them! And STILL you've got the middle-class twits trotting out the same old 'treat them like animals and they'll behave like animals' twaddle!

Fact is, working in a factory or a call centre is far more of a 'punishment' than jail. And while ordinary workers, pensioners and other honest have a burden to carry criminals have a free-and-easy life at the taxpayers expense...

These jailbirds ARE animals! Wild animals! And by rewarding their behaviour with comforts that many decent people can't afford ALL jails like Addiewell do is encourage crime and encourage criminals...

There's NO WAY prisoners should be doing anything other than hard labour and/or taking up education. The only time they should see a TV is to be shown an instructional video. And as for fans! Let them roast! Most ordinary decent people who are struggling to keep their heads above water have to!
